Notifications and auto-dial
Choose how FirstQuote reaches you — texts, emails, quiet hours, and the auto-dialer that connects you to hot leads.
FirstQuote answers your leads so you don't have to watch your phone — but when a lead is worth your personal attention, you want to know right away. That's what notifications are for. Find them under your business's settings, in the Notifications section.
Texts and emails
There are two moments FirstQuote can notify you, and you can choose text, email, both, or neither for each:
- When a new lead comes in — sent when the AI decides a new lead looks like a real job. Leads that aren't a fit don't ping you.
- When a conversation needs your attention — sent when the AI decides it's time for a human: the customer wants to talk to a person, has a complaint, or asks something the AI can't answer. The AI steps back and waits for you.
Add your email for notifications and phone for SMS notifications, tick the boxes you want, and click Save changes. For texts, you'll also check a consent box — reply STOP to any message to turn texts off.
Auto-dial: we call you, then connect you to the lead
Auto-dial turns a hot lead into a live phone call. When a conversation needs your attention and FirstQuote has the customer's number:
- We call you first.
- You hear who the lead is and what they're asking about.
- Press 1 to be connected.
- The lead's phone only rings once you press 1 — if you don't pick up or don't press 1, their phone never rings.
- You're on the call together.
You'll get at most one call per lead. If your call lasts more than a few seconds, any scheduled follow-up messages for that lead are cancelled — you've clearly taken over.
Verifying your number: the first time you set up auto-dial, we confirm the number is really yours, because the customer sees it as the caller ID. Click Verify this number — we call you and show a code on screen; when we call, enter that code on your phone's keypad, then click I've entered the code. Once you see Verified, auto-dial is ready.
Quiet hours
Set a From and To time and FirstQuote skips texts and calls during that window every day — emails still arrive. For overnight quiet (say, 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM), set the start later than the end. Leave both blank to be notified anytime.
Delivery problem alerts
One notification you can't turn off: if FirstQuote tries to send a reply to a lead and the send fails for good, it emails you so the lead doesn't slip away silently. The message also gets a "Not delivered" badge in the conversation.
