Connecting Thumbtack

Link your Thumbtack Pro account so FirstQuote can answer your Thumbtack leads for you.

Once Thumbtack is connected, every new Thumbtack lead gets an instant reply in your voice, and the whole conversation shows up on your Conversations page.

Before you start

You'll need your Thumbtack Pro account — the one you use to sign in to Thumbtack as a business.

Connect your Thumbtack business

1. Go to the Businesses page and find your business.
2. Click + Add integration, then Connect Thumbtack. (During setup, the Connect Thumbtack button is right on the "Connect a lead source" step.)
3. Sign in to Thumbtack when it asks, and allow FirstQuote access.
4. Back on FirstQuote, pick which Thumbtack business to connect and click Connect this business.

You'll see "AI replies are turned on and set up with default settings" — from that moment, new Thumbtack leads are answered automatically. You can adjust how replies sound anytime in your business settings.

Direct leads vs. job-board opportunities

• Direct leads — when a customer contacts you directly on Thumbtack, FirstQuote replies right away.
• Job-board opportunities — Thumbtack doesn't share these with any outside tool until you claim the job in the Thumbtack app. Once you claim it, it arrives in FirstQuote like any other lead and gets answered.

Turning replies on and off

On the Businesses page, the Thumbtack row has an Auto-reply toggle. Flip it off and FirstQuote stops replying to new Thumbtack leads; flip it back on anytime.

If you see "Reconnect needed"

If Thumbtack's connection to FirstQuote expires, the row shows an amber Reconnect needed badge. Click Reconnect and sign in to Thumbtack again; your conversations and settings are untouched.

Good to know

• Replies you type in Thumbtack's own app still work. The moment you reply to a lead yourself, FirstQuote steps back and lets you run the conversation.
• Deleting the integration (the trash icon) stops new Thumbtack leads from coming in, but keeps your existing conversations.
